Christmas dinner at Oaxen Slip
Our traditional Christmas dinner is served in our Nordic bistro from November 28th to December 22nd. As in previous years here on Djurgården and also on the island of Oaxen we use Nordic ingredients from small producers who work with care for animals and nature. Everything is homemade from the most excellent ingredients.
We all have our own favorites on the Christmas dinner, there is something for everyone and it’s the very essence of Christmas. Our recurring favorites – smoked herring, tarragon and mustard marinated salmon, “kalvaladåb”, liver sausage, smoked wild boar sausage, ginger spiced pork, saffron cooked pear and almond mussels with jam and cream …
Each day we have three seatings, lunch with arrival between 11:30-12:00, afternoon with arrival between 15:30-16:00 and evening with arrival between 19:30-20:30. We apply different prices to different sittings and dates, price per person is SEK 650-850 which includes coffee and mulled wine. For children 2-12 years of age the cost is SEK 350.
We host parties of up to 30 guests and for larger groups, maximum 70 guests, it is possible to hire the restaurant exclusively.
For private parties of up to a maximum of 16 guests, we offer our Club Room upstairs, a secluded room with private service and fantastic view overlooking Saltsjön and Beckholmen. We serve two sittings per day in the Club Room – Christmas lunch from 11:30 and dinner from 19:30.
